Survivors of the school shooting in Parkland, Florida earlier this year are going on a nation-wide tour to hold anti-gun violence rallies.

Parkland students David Hogg, Emma Gonzalez, Cameron Kasky, Jaclyn Corin and about two dozen other students who have become the faces of the March for our Lives movement announced the tour on Monday.

Students that organized the Madison March for our Lives rally announced on Thursday that the students would be making a stop in Wisconsin on June 22nd.

"These students have gotten national and world-wide attention. I know that many young people are very inspired by them," East High School student Lydia Hester said.

"I think having other people here who are like 'keep going this is working,' will really remind us what we're really fighting for," West High School graduate Emayu Edari-Sellassie said.

The students say the Parkland survivors turned student activists are selecting states to visit where candidates supported by the NRA are up for election.

The students said the rally will also focus on encouraging young people to get out and vote in the Midterm Elections.

"I think a lot of young people are realizing that this is their opportunity to shape the world how they want it to be," Edari-Sellassie said.

Survivors of the Parkland, Florida shooting have been advocating for gun reform since 17 people were gunned down at their school on Valentine's Day.

Students in Madison who announced the rally say details on where the rally will be held will be released in the coming weeks.
