THE OTHER SIDE OF THE COIN IN PAKISTANI DOMESTIC POLITICS, PROF. DR. GHOLAM MUJTABA

Rebuttal to those who are intruding into partisan politics of Pakistan.

NEW YORK, NEW YORK, USA, April 13, 2023 /EINPresswire.com/ -- “Staying out of Pakistan’s domestic controversy is in the best interest of U.S. national security priorities”, said Dr. Gholam Mujtaba, Chairman Pakistan Policy Institute.

There are sympathizers of different political outfits of Pakistan among the Pakistani diaspora in this country who are pushing our lawmakers to side with them in Pakistan’s partisan politics. The country has witnessed anti-American protests and burning of U.S. flags by forces hostile to U.S. interests including Taliban.

U.S. policy makers in the congress and senate should identify as to who is attempting to influence partisan politics in the making of our foreign policy. Such a policy proved to be detrimental to a larger U.S. interest in Saudi Arabia. This paradigm may not work for Pakistan either.

“The national security priorities of the United States should supplant domestic politics of foreign countries”, the statement emphasized.

Dr. Mujtaba further said that he is a strong proponent of U.S. Pakistan relationship above partisan divide. “Intruding into the domestic politics of Pakistan by hearing one side of the story is doing disservice to U.S. interests in the region”.

Dr. Gholam Mujtaba has had a long career in politics across America and Pakistan. Currently, a Central Leader to the Republican Party of the United States of America and Chairman of Pakistani Policy Institute, USA, he is an expert on conflict management and Pakistani leadership. Recipient of the United States Congressional Recognition Award in 2015, Dr. Mujtaba has previously held such highly regarded positions as the Central Vice President of the All-Pakistan Muslim League and an advisor to Chief Minister Sindh.
