Events

Park vehicle passes are required for all events at North Dakota and Minnesota state parks. Info: parkrec.nd.gov or mndnr.gov.

  • Aug. 7-8: Minnesota State Archery Association 3-D Shoot, Thief River Falls 3-D Range (look for signs from 140th Avenue Northeast going south from Thief River Falls). Thief River Falls Archery Club is host, and shooting hours are from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 7, and 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 8. Pre-registration for hunting will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, Sept. 3, at Ed’s Bait Shop, 1605 state Highway 20, Devils Lake. DNR hunting and fishing webinars

The Minnesota Department of Natural Resources is hosting a series of upcoming how-to webinars on a variety of fishing and hunting topics. All of the free webinars start at noon, and pre-registration is required at mndnr.gov/fishwildlife/outreach/index.html. Webinar sessions and topics are as follows:

  • Aug. 11: Rifle basics.
  • Aug. 18: Mourning dove hunting .

  • Aug. 25: DNR at the 2021 Minnesota State Fair.
