Charles Foster
Charles I. Foster, 82 of New Weston, Ohio, passed away on Tuesday, May 17, 2022, at the Village Green Health Campus in Greenville, Ohio.
He was born on June 21, 1939, in New Weston, to the late Roy and Ivy (Grim) Foster.
In addition to his parents, Charles was preceded in death by his wife, Joanne (Cline) Foster, whom he married on July 6, 1957; his son, Randy Foster; his great granddaughter, Eliana Foster; his brother, Roy Foster, Jr.; and his in-laws, Barbara (Ken) Coby, Karen (James) Husted, Rick (Shewanna) Cline, and Sandy Hurt.
Charles spent 46 years working for the Railroad and retired from CSX in 2002. When he wasn't working on the railroad, Charles could be found working in the fields. He loved being outdoors and tending to his crops, hunting, fishing, and trap shooting. It was also not uncommon to find him enjoying a good western movie. Charles was a lifetime member of the National Rifle Association. He was a 32nd Degree Mason and member of the Fort Recovery Masonic Lodge 539, and the ancient accepted Scottish Rite and York Rite.
Charles is survived by his son, Ryan (Angie Curtin) Foster of New Weston; his grandsons, Quinton (Shelby) Foster and Austin (Emily Nietfeld) Foster, both of New Weston; his great granddaughters, Adilyn Fullenkamp and Amelia Foster; and his in-laws, Debra (Ernie) Lee of Greenville, Marvin (Eleanor) Cline of Streetsboro, Ohio, and James Hart of Austin, Texas.
Charles will be laid to rest during a graveside service at 10:00 AM, on Saturday, May 21, 2022, at Greenville Township Memorial Gardens, with Pastor Tony Price officiating.
