Gas prices spike in Rhode Island

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — In the last week, gas prices have gone up over 21 cents per gallon in the last week, averaging $3.59 a gallon today.

According to AAA Northeast, today’s price is higher than a month ago, at $3.28, and nine cents higher than last year at $3.50.

Rhode Island’s gas price is 8 cents lower than the national average.
