Sourav Ganguly hails Jay Shah's impact on cricket's global growth
The former BCCI President was recently seen in a conversation with Press Trust of India (PTI), where he revealed the impact of Jay Shah on cricket's global growth.
Ganguly revealed that Jay Shah always had the backing so one can expect the kind of toughness and stubbornness he shows, but he has always done it for the betterment of Indian cricket.
"The best thing about him was he wanted to do things properly for Indian cricket. He had the support, and he had the power, so you expect that kind of toughness and stubbornness from him. But he would do things for Indian cricket. He's very supportive of players. He got better as he learned, but the good thing about him was he wanted to do it for the game."
He further admitted that Shah might have made mistakes along the path, but it was never intentional.
"He was very honest. He always had this thought of who he was at the back of his mind and what baggage he carried. So he wanted to do things rightfully and properly all the time. All of us make mistakes; I did, he did, but it was never intentional. But the game never stopped when we worked together."
