A minimum of six teams will compete, split into two pools during the league stage, with athletes grouped into four tiers Elite Champions, World Elite, National Champions and Junior & Youth Champions to balance experience and emerging talent.
More than 400 athletes have already registered for the SLI, representing India, Kazakhstan, Russia, Iran, Hungary, Croatia, Azerbaijan, the United Kingdom, Australia, Grenada, Italy, Austria, Serbia, the USA, Spain, Thailand, Germany, the Czech Republic, Norway, San Marino and Romania. Registrations remain open until mid-July.
“We are truly delighted by the overwhelming response and the number of registrations we have received,” said NRAI president Kalikesh Narayan Singh Deo. “It’s a strong validation of our vision for the Shooting League of India. Our aim has always been to create a world-class platform that celebrates talent, promotes healthy competition, and inspires the next generation of shooters.”
The NRAI first announced its intention to host the Shooting League of India in November last year, aiming to build on the momentum generated by India’s recent successes at the Paris Olympic and Paralympic Games.
